Should I try to update CCK to 2.4? What is logged in the the site log, /admin/reports/dblog, when this happens? I contacted my hosting company and they have set off the safe mode for me, also they say they have activated suphp, but my drupal still can not write on /file

WHat have you checked so fa?. However, if the node is saved, the image is there and the "image was resized to..." message appears.
