Drupal Image Upload Not Working
Should I try to update CCK to 2.4? What is logged in the the site log, /admin/reports/dblog, when this happens? Views Link Area (views_linkarea) A Views 3 area plugin to allow links as headers and footers for views. You can move this issue there or consider switching to IMCE for Filefield module. I did a restore of the site to my laptop running the Acquia Dev WAMP stack (running Apache), and the image file upload problem is non existant. The solution might be different based on your hosting environment. Configure Comment (comment) Allows users to comment on and discuss published content.

I contacted my hosting company and they have set off the safe mode for me, also they say they have activated suphp, but my drupal still can not write on /file

When editing the node the image is there but i cannot neither delete, nor add another. The refered to folder has 777 access too. However, I finally figured that the error about "could not be saved. The fact that this worked on a test system indicates there is something different in your production environment.

I had the same issue and resolved it by moving the configurable temp folder out of drupal root: from sites/default/files/tmp to /home/etc/...
WHat have you checked so fa?. However, if the node is saved, the image is there and the "image was resized to..." message appears.
